Onion Muffins

1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried dill
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
2 T. butter melted
1/4 c. grated onion
1 T. melted butter
1 T. poppy seeds

Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt and dill. Whisk egg with buttermilk, 2 T. butter and grated onions. Blend with dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon into greased muffin tins. Brush top with 1 T. melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake until golden at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Makes 10 muffins.
